At Street Sports Hope (SSH), we are aware that as a charity focussed on assisting disadvantaged children with often complex family backgrounds, child protection must be at the core of all its operations.
SSH operates an active child protection policy that is implemented from the outset, in the recruitment, training and monitoring of volunteers, staff and visitors. The policy is regularly reviewed and is consistent with current International standards applicable to NGOs.
SSH take measures to ensure that clear and appropriate protocols of engagement between adults acting for SSH and child beneficiaries in their care are strictly adhered to at all times. The child beneficiaries are made aware of the child protection measures in place through a simplified policy.
All SSH published images of children and adults have been consented to by the beneficiaries and their parents/carers/guardians. No real names are used in any publication unless consented to by the beneficiaries and their parents/carers/guardians.
Our Respect For You, Our Beneficiaries
You will be treated with respect by all representatives of Street Sports Hope at all times.
We, as representatives of Street Sports Hope, undertake that:-
We will not physically mistreat you in any way
If you feel uncomfortable at any time with the actions of SSH representatives or other adults and older children then, you can speak in confidence with another SSH representative and they will act in your interest.
