Mark Dodd – Trustee & Treasurer

Mark is an experienced financial services professional and partner in his business based in central London. Through his volunteering work in youth football, working closely with Alie Sesay, Mark developed an interest in helping less fortunate young people.

Through his association with Alie and fundraising for street children in Sierra Leone, Mark is committed to helping young, underprivileged people develop the skills needed through sport to help them improve their lives and their futures.

Martyn Ware – Trustee

Martyn was born 1956 in Sheffield. Formed The Human League in 1978. Formed multimillion selling act Heaven 17 and British Electric Foundation in 1980. As record producer and artist has featured on recordings totalling over 50 million sales worldwide during a career of more than 35 years. He continues to tour and perform with BEF and Heaven 17 internationally.

Martyn founded Illustrious Co. Ltd. with Vince Clarke in 2001 to exploit the creative and commercial possibilities of their uniquely co-developed 3DAudioScape immersive sound technology in collaboration with fine artists, the performing arts and corporate clients around the world.  He also lectures extensively around the world as an expert in the fields of creativity and media and arts technology. He works actively around the world with In Place Of War, an NGO helping young people in places of conflict to use creativity as a means of expression and hope.

Martyn is a Visiting Professor at Queen Mary College, University of London, a member of BAFTA, a Fellow of the Royal Society for the Arts, and a founder of 5D – the Future of Immersive Design. He has also just received an Honorary Doctorate in Science from University Of London.

Ivan Harbour – Trustee

Ivan is an architect and partner of Rogers Stirk Harbour & Partners, a London based architectural practice working across the globe. He has led the design of many of the practice’s notable buildings including two Stirling prize winners in Madrid’s Barajas Airport and West London’s Maggies Centre.

Ivan grew up in the West Country where, as the oldest of five siblings, he learnt to be self-sufficient and diplomatic from an early age. His practice is owned by charity; it operates under a constitution that ensures an equitable approach to pay and distribution of profits to staff and charitable causes.

Ivan is married with two children and, through involvement with a youth football team, is an advocate for the health and social benefits to young people that lead from a shared love of participation in sport.

Ivan’s great love is making things and he has, in the past, built his own house from scratch in Inner London with family and friends.

Sam Ebzao – UK Sports & Schools Ambassador

Sam is an experienced teacher and Head of PE at St Augustine’s High School, London. 

The ‘bigger picture’ remains central to his philosophy as an educator, where he strives to use the power of sport to tackle inequalities faced around the world.

Through a range of sporting events, Sam will be encouraging the students of St Augustine’s to develop their awareness of global issues, by making positive contributions to those less fortunate.

Sam continues to use his experiences, skills and values to create opportunities for young people as part of his work with Streets Sports Hope.

Christina Godding – UK Volunteers Programme Manager

Christina is an economics graduate who, post-graduation, has spent time travelling, volunteering and interning overseas. Her most significant journeys include volunteering with African Impact and Raleigh International, in Zimbabwe and Nepal respectively.

Whilst in Zimbabwe, Christina volunteered on two animal welfare & Conservation projects. Alongside this, she was also involved with a community development project which offered support to children living both in orphanages and on the streets of Zimbabwe.

In Nepal, Christina lived in a rural village for three months, volunteering on a community and youth development project, where the aim was to empower, unify and improve the livelihoods of the villagers and their children.

Christina is now working as a Learning Support Assistant at St. Augustine’s High School, where she supports the development of students, mainly with behavioural or learning difficulties. She hopes that her experience working with youths, both in the UK and internationally, will be a useful addition to Street Sports Hope where she is responsible for our volunteer programme.
